Ayer falleció Nelson Mandela (1918-2013), una figura clave en la historia de Sudáfrica y del siglo XX. Como pequeño homenaje pongo la letra de un poema «Invictus«, escrito por William Ernest Henley, y que fue utilizado en la película homónima dirigida por Clint Eastwood en 2009. En dicha película Mandela le escribía a Francoise Pienaar (capitán de los Springboks) ese poema antes de empezar el RWC de Sudáfrica 1995, aunque en realidad lo que Madiba le escribió al capitán Springbok era un fragmento de un discurso de Theodore Roosvelt «The Man in the Arena».
